The failed lights on St Mary's Street have been reported by quite a few people over several months, this year. We added to the heap of reports, and because there are now 3 consecutive lights out, the response promises action.....

Yes, it's nearly that time again! So please keep the date free..... Our Winter Social will take place on Thursday 26th November, early evening, at THE HIVE, 5 Belmont, SY1 1TE. We'll keep the AGM aspect brief, with papers circulated in advance, so that Members can enjoy the mince pies and Gluwein, as usual! And we will welcome any Town Centre Residents who are not yet members to come along and sign up on the door! We can't, of course, admit non-members to this meeting. Full

It is good to see the Quarry Park used to stage events that bring pleasure to so many people, both visitors and residents. A handful, this year, have been on the noisy side. If we buy a ticket to go to a concert and we don't like it, then we can simply leave. If the concert - or any event for that matter - is forced upon us in our own homes and gardens, then we don't have the choice to leave! So it is important that sounds emanating from the Quarry do not cause a nuisance

At its Meeting held on Tuesday 7 July 2026, the Committee of STCRA agreed the following Policy Statement in relation to the management of traffic, roads and road users within the Town. This Policy, set out in the attached pdf, will be used to inform all responses to and discussions with Officers and Members of Shropshire Council and of Shrewsbury Town Council.
